Q1 2018 parolees recap: who was paroled in Fairfield?

There were five offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Fairfield zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Fairfield were men. The median age of the parolees was 32. The youngest parolee is a 20-year-old man sentenced for property crimes in 2017, and the oldest is a 42-year-old man sentenced for crimes against one or more children in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Royce McFarland. He was convicted of crimes involving drugs in 2015 when he was 34 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the first quarter.
