The data shows that all of the released offenders in Mount Carmel were men. Of the parolees, two are veterans, and the median age is 40. The youngest parolee is a 26-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving alcohol in 2016, and the oldest is a 66-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving one or more weapons in 2016.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Jason R. McGill. He was convicted of crimes involving drugs in 2015 when he was 34 years old. He is now 38.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
