Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Wabash County?

There were seven offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Wabash County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Wabash County were men. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 38. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016, and the oldest was a 66-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jason R. McGill. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 34 years old. He is now 38.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Wabash County municipality.
