Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in White County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in White County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that five men and one woman were released in White County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016, and the oldest was a 59-year-old woman sentenced for a crime against a person in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Josiah T. Griffin. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2013 when he was 28 years old. He is now 34.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
