Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in White County?

There were 12 offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in White County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that eight men and four women were released in White County. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017, and the oldest was a 59-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Gerald D. Stroud. He was convicted of a property crime in 2014 when he was 29 years old. He is now 34.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each White County municipality.
