Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Gallatin County?

There were five offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Gallatin County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that four men and one woman were released in Gallatin County. The median age of the parolees was 31. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017, and the oldest was a 36-year-old woman sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was William S. Baker. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2017 when he was 21 years old. He is now 22.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Gallatin County municipality.
