Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Hamilton County?

There were two offenders released on parole during that live in Hamilton County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that man and woman were released in Hamilton County. The younger parolee was a 40-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017. The other was a 40-year-old woman sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was April L. Santiago. She was convicted of a crime against a person in 2017 when she was 38 years old. She is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Hamilton County municipality.
