There was one offender released on parole during the first quarter living near Illinois zip code 62842, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that the man was released in the Big Muddy River zip code. The 37-year-old parolee wasn't a veteran.

He was sentenced to 2 years in prison for a crime involving drugs in 2017 when he was 35 years old.
