2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 62954?

There were two offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 62954, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in the Junction zip code were men. The younger parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a crime against a person in 2017, and the other was a 34-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jason Brannon. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017, when he was 34 years old. He is now 36.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
