McLeansboro Township Board met Sept. 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The September 10th, 2019 Township board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Gray. The meeting was held at the local Township building.

There were no public comments.

Attending the meeting as observers were eleven Seniors from the Hamilton County High School. They were Lane Campbell, Noah Colclasure, Reace Coy, Jaylee Glenn, Trevor Gray, Kaitlyn Griswold, Marah Hutchison, Matthew Mick, Lilly Tallman, Victoria Tallman and Maddi Valentine.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

Minutes from the August meeting were read by the Clerk. As there were no corrections to be made, a motion to approve the minutes, as written, was made by Jamie Ellis and seconded by Becky Cross. Motion carried.

Old Business:

There was no old business to discuss.

New Business:

Supervisor Gray presented, for review, the completed financial statements for the fiscal year ending March 31st, 2019. The statements also included the Accountant’s review report. After discussion, motion by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Dennis Johnson to accept the report as presented. Motion carried.

Miscellaneous

- The Supervisor noted a Legislative Survey has been introduced by the Townships of Illinois and he encouraged each Board member to complete the survey in order to give TOI direction in their administrative efforts.

- In addition, Clydus noted that the first installment of property taxes have become due and, as a result, the township should be receiving their first installment within the next few weeks.

Monthly Claims

- Road and Bridge Fund, Building and Equipment Fund and Permanent Road Fund claims were provided for review. Motion by Becky Cross and seconded by Kyle Ingram to pay those bills. Motion carried.

- Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims were also presented to the Board. Motion by Dennis Johnson and seconded by Jamie Ellis to pay those bills. Motion carried.

There being no further business to conduct, motion to adjourn was made by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Becky Cross. Motion carried.
