Obituary
Deborah S. Young, 60, of Carmi, passed away at 7:20 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born on February 26 1959 the daughter of Robert A and Luwanda (Britt) Grant. Deb loved watching the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies and going fishing. She attended Trinity Assembly of God Church.
Deborah is survived by a daughter and daughter-in-law who was her caretaker, Robin and Regina Johnson, of Carmi; two brothers, David W. Grant, of Kokomo, IN and Frank Grant, of Texas; three sisters, Kim Johnson, of Carmi, Pat Grant, of Grayville and Dixie Grant, of Bloomington, IL and a granddaughter, Brianna Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Grant, Sr. and Luwanda Rasmussen; a daughter, Luwanda Kay Morrison and a brother, Robert A. Grant, Jr.
Funeral services for Deborah S. Young, 60 will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2019 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Campbell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Deborah's memory to Campbell Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
