Old Business:

As a follow-up to the September presentation of the annual financial statements, Supervisor Gray indicated the statements have been recorded, both at the State level as well as with the Hamilton County Clerk. As of now, all requirements have been met.

New Business:

- The Supervisor presented a release from the Hamilton County Emergency Management agency regarding potential eligibility for Federal funding to initiate a “Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan”. According to the release, participation in the planning process requires attendance in three planning meetings, the first of which will be held on November 6th at the Local Laborer’s Union Hall. Clydus requested that as many of the Township’s elected official that can attend these meetings as it could help in securing Federal funds.

Miscellaneous

- A short discussion was held regarding the danger that exists at railroad crossing within the Township. A recent incident that barely averted a serious accident occurred which has brought the need for crossing lights and/or arms to the forefront. Road Commissioner Bob Drake said he has tried, on several occasions, to get some kind of warning or protection devices at these locations without any success.

Supervisor Drake indicated there is a possibility that projected Motor Fuel Tax monies could be cut by as much as 10%. While there is no definitive ruling on this matter, it is important the Township be prepared to receive less money than anticipated.
