Lancaster Zion United Methodist Church recently issued the following announcement.
Faith is a journey and many began that journey in earnest during confirmation. Confirmation is kind of what it sounds like - a time when young people, usually in middle and high school, learn about the faith of their church as they prepare to become full members. Confirmation classes give participants the opportunity to ask question about their faith and come to an understanding of what they believe. When confirmation classes end, the students who have completed all the classes are then eligible to join the church as full members as part of our Easter celebration.
If you are interested in confirmation, the first meeting will be on January 12 at 4:00p in the youth room. Parents are encouraged to attend a brief meeting at the beginning of this meeting to ask questions and get general information about the confirmation process.
