McLeansboro Township Board met Dec. 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The December 10th, 2019 Township board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Gray. The meeting was held at the local Township building.

There were no public comments.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

Minutes from the November meeting were read by the Clerk. As there were no corrections to be made, a motion to approve the minutes, as written, was made by Becky Cross and seconded by Jamie Ellis. Motion carried.

Old Business:

- As an additional follow-up to the November 6th Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan meeting, Supervisor Gray requested each Board member give consideration to submitting items that may be included in the Township’s plan for natural disaster mitigation. Those items should be provided no later than the January 2020 meeting.

New Business:

- The 2019 proposed tax levy, for funds to be paid in late 2020, was submitted to the Board for consideration. The levy totaling $405,232 represents an increase over the extended 2018 levy by approximately $19,296. A motion to accept the proposed levy, as written, was made by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Becky Cross. Motion carried.

Monthly Claims

- Road and Bridge Fund, Building and Equipment Fund and Permanent Road Fund claims were provided for review. Motion by Becky Cross and seconded by Dennis Johnson to pay those bills. Motion carried.

- Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims were also presented to the Board. Motion by Jamie Ellis and seconded by Kyle Ingram to pay those bills. Motion carried.

There being no further business to conduct, motion to adjourn was made by Becky Cross and seconded by Dennis Johnson. Motion Carried.
