City of Albion City Council met Feb. 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

The Albion City Council met in regular session on Feb 17, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in the Albion City Hall. Mayor Eric Schmidt called the meeting to order and led Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call: Present- Kim Dostal, Doug Loffgren, Jacob Dudley, Garrett Kaufman, absent Pat Hemming

Dudley moved and Dostal seconded to approve the agenda. Motion passed 4-0

Dostal moved to approve the consent agenda and was seconded by Dudley. The consent agenda consisted of regular minutes from Jan 20, 2020 and budget workshop Feb 3, 2020, approval claims for payment, and financial reports. Motion passed 4-0.

Deputy Elenbecker gave the Sheriffs report.

Fire, EMS, P&R, Streets, Maintenance – nothing to report.

Rhonda Guy gave the water and sewer reports.

Public Safety, stated our radio communication from the comm center is not clear at all.

Julia Eckles, Librarian, gave the library report Dudley motioned and Loffgren seconded to approve Ordinance #Chapter 75 – Snowmobiles. Ordinance passed 4-0

Loffgren motioned and Dostal seconded to Resolution 2019-13 Dangerous Building Ordinance. Ordinance passed 4-0.

A motion by Loffgren and seconded by Kaufman to terminate Resolution 2019-11A ATV chapter 75. Resolution 2019-11A terminated 4-0.

Water/Discussion/Rates a rate study is being done on billing monthly/bimonthly.

The council began the budget workshop. Another budget workshop was scheduled for Feb 18 @ 6:00pm

A motion by Dostal and seconded by Kaufman to adjourn. Motion passed 4-0. Meeting adjourned 8:10pm.
