Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Wabash County?

There were five offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Wabash County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that three men and two women were released in Wabash County. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 48-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ruby A. Wade. She was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017 when she was 46 years old. She is now 48.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Wabash County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
