It is the Recommendation of the Finance Committee to approve the bills and payroll for January, 2020 as presented by the administration and reviewed by the Finance Committee.

1) Robotics Club- The initial rules/participation sheet has been sent out.

2) Busing- We are looking into the possibility of giving only two busing options only for students: One drop off location or the early learning center.

3) Curriculum-We are going to talk to two specific school districts that have been recommended by our LTC6 representative in regards to one to one technology integration. We also discussed CK12.org curriculum for math and science.

Motion was made by Chris Simpson and seconded by Mike Ehrhart to approve the bills and payroll for January 2020 as presented.

Motion was made by Kirk Barnard and seconded by Mike Ehrhart to approve the employment of Misty Boyd as art teacher long-term substitute and continue advertising the position.

Motion was made by Kirk Barnard and seconded by Teresa White to set the graduation date for the 8th grade and 12th grade classes of 2020 for May 17 at 5 and 2 pm respectively.

11. Executive Session

Motion was made by Joe Coy and seconded by Chris Simpson to approve moving into executive closed session at 6:49 p.m. in accordance with school board policy 2:220 – E2 items # 1, The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors, or specific volunteers of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves as an independent contractor, or a volunteer of the District or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. However, a meeting to consider an increase in compensation to a specific employee of a public body that is subject to the Local Government Wage Increase Transparency Act may not be closed and shall be open to the public and posted and held in accordance with this Act. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), amended by P.A. 101-459; #2 Collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2C (2); # 9 Student disciplinary cases. 5 ILCS 120/2(C) (9); #11 Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11).
