The New Hope Board of Education met at 6:00 P.M. in the work room of the school.
President Jason Simpson called the meeting to order at 6:17 P.M.

Committee Reports: Items included in new business. No other info given.
Superintendent Report: Maintenance grant approved for $50,000. Compliance visit regarding paperwork, policies, personnel files resulted in no findings. A truancy meeting regarding a student was held Friday at the White County State’s Attorney’s office. Parent has now transferred the student to a new district. FOIA request included in the board packet was in regards to high school grading scales and therefore not applicable to our district. There have been many changes due to the new Coronavirus. Governor Pritzker has determined the mandatory closing as Act of God days. Students and teachers will not be required to make up the days missed and pay for our non-certified staff will continue as normal. If this closure only lasts these two weeks, a recommendation will be made to move spring break. Construction on the building project began on March 16th.
