Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Wayne County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Wayne County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that four men and two women were released in Wayne County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 37. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Phillip D. Brown. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2017 when he was 60 years old. He is now 62.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2019 in each Wayne County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
