Keensburg Bealls Woods Volunteer Fire Department responded to eight calls in 2018 - 300 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Keensburg Bealls Woods included eight fires - two structure fires, two vehicle fires and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $30,000 in fire loss - or about $3,750 per fire.
