11 Hamilton County residents in their fifties test positive for COVID-19

As of September 29, there have been 11 Hamilton County residents in their fifties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 233 residents in their fifties in the county who had been tested, meaning that four percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through September 29, there have been 73 confirmed COVID-19 cases and two deaths from the coronavirus in Hamilton County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
