Q1 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Wabash County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the first quarter of 2020 that live in Wabash County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that three men and three women were released in Wabash County. The median age of the parolees was 29. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019, and the oldest was a 32-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Cory W. Tinsley. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2017 when he was 29 years old. He is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2020 in each Wabash County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
