State. Rep. Darren Bailey (R-Xenia) is encouraging Illinois residents to stand up against Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s lockdown measures.

“Frustrated? Do something about it!” Bailey said.

Prizker has been roundly criticized for locking down portions of the state’s economy, most notably the restaurant sector.

“Out of 102 counties, only 3 counties are currently aggressively pursuing closure of bars and restaurants! Call your State’s Attorneys and tell them to reject Pritzker’s executive order!” Bailey said in a flyer. “Call your representatives and Senators and demand they get back to Springfield and work for you! One power rule is not the answer.”

The extended closure of restaurants has resulted in thousands of closures across the state.

Earlier this year it was reported that 2,400 businesses in the Chicago area shut down for good as a result of Pritzker’s executive orders.
