After listening to Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s budget address, state Sen. Darren Bailey (R-Louisville) said that the governor’s budget goes over the edge and Pritzker is a disconnected leader.
“I sat for 30+ minutes today and I listened to a governor who is completely out of touch with the state and with the people,” Bailey said.
The Illinois senator for the 55th district said Pritzker doesn’t know how to be accountable for his failed decisions and is irresponsible in making better resolutions. Bailey said Pritzker discussed things that what the people already know.
“I listened to a grown man whine, complain and blame absolutely everything past and present except himself and his own party as to the woes and the demise of the state of Illinois,” Bailey said.
Bailey said the Pritzker budget is out of hand and all the governor does is getting more state revenues by imposing more tax hikes on struggling businesses that result in Illinoisans' unemployment.
“This budget remains at least $1.7 billion out of whack and this budget has several provisions that he claims as corporate loopholes that are nothing but tax increases on business and job killers for the state.”
