Fairfield Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on May 2.
We would like to thank Mavis Tate, Occupational Therapist, and Savanna Nelson, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, for all of their hard work and dedication to their patients.
When injury strikes or long-term wear of joints and muscles require rehabilitation, an Occupational Therapist provides the necessary exercises to get us back into our daily routines. Simply getting out of bed or moving from one position to another may become a challenge. Occupational Therapists have studied the movements required to make these transitions happen safely and to re-train our newly repaired body part to do the job. They know the therapies necessary to help improve weakened muscles and alternatives when others fail us.
For every age and ability, Occupational Therapists provide care to improve the quality of life to each patient. Our Occupational Therapists are here to help you whether it is as a patient on our Med/Surg or Skilled Care Unit, an outpatient in our Therapy and Rehabilitation Department, or through our Home Health Agency.
