Jasper Consolidated Community School District #17 Board of Education Met April 27.

A special meeting of the Jasper School Board of Education for the purpose of seating the new board members and approval of non-certified staff salaries was called to order by President Derek Demaret with Beth Titzer taking the minutes at 6:00 p.m. with following board members present:
Present at the hearing: Derek Demaret, Lachelle Thompson, Lance Hinkle, Andrew Weaver, Beth Titzer & Rennie Cates
Absent at the hearing: Chris Barbre
A motion was made by Beth Titzer and seconded by Lance Hinkle to approve the consent agenda items as presented. The votes were as follows:

Lachelle Thompson –yes Andrew Weaver –yes
Rennie Cates –yes Beth Titzer – yes
Chris Barbre – absent
A motion was made by Lance Hinkle and seconded by Rennie Cates to approve non-certified salary increases as presented for 2.0% FY22 and 2.0% FY23. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Rennie Cates and seconded by Lance Hinkle to approve adjourning at 6:15 p.m. The votes were as follows:

The meeting was adjourned Sine Die.
The April 2021 consolidated election was recognized and the oath of office for the new board members began at 6:15 p.m.
Principal Shari Berger read the oath of office and the newly formed board repeated it after her.

A motion was made by Lance Hinkle and seconded by Andrew Weaver to appoint Beth Titzer as Secretary Pro-Tempore for the reorganizational portion of the April Board Meeting.

A motion was made by Lance Hinkle and seconded by Derek Demaret to elect Beth Titzer to serve as the Jasper Grade School Board of Education secretary to serve a two year term.

Special Education Coop Representative: Jon Lafikes
Parent/Advisory Committee: Jeff Baker
A motion was made by Jon Lafikes and seconded by Lance Hinkle to set the board meetings on the 3rd Thursday of the month at Jasper Grade School in the Resource Room. The votes were as follows:
