City of Carmi City Council met July 20.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

1. Call to order by Mayor Pollard, Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Roll Call.

3. Approve July 6, 2021, Council Meeting Minutes.

4. Approve June 2021 Financial Reports for the City of Carmi and Light & Water Departments.

5. Approve and authorize July 2021 vendor invoices for the City of Carmi and Light & Water Departments.

6. For council consideration, discussion and possible approval:

1. Introduction of new Police Officer, Matt Long.

2. Introduction and pinning of new Sergeant, Joshua Moore.

3. Reappointment of Denton Aud to the Library Board to a term from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024.

4. Reappointment of Diane Healy to the Library Board to a term from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024.

5. Reappointment of John Stanley to the Library Board to a term from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024.

6. Reappointment of Jessica Williams to the Library Board to a term from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024.

7. Resolution 07.20.21; A resolution to execute an agreement with Brown and Roberts, Inc. for the Water Systems Improvements – 2020 – DCEO Portion.

8. Resolution 07.21.21; A resolution for improvement under the Illinois Highway Code (IDOT) Burrell’s Wood Park Roadway Extension and Existing Roadways.

9. Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Local Public Agency Engineering Services Agreement for Burrell’s Woods Park Roadways.

10. David Coston, City Electrical Engineer, to give an update on the Light Plant/substations and requesting approval to order switchgear for substation.

7. Reports and/or updates from Mayor Pollard

9. Business or comments from visitors.

10. Closed Session to discuss property and personnel issues with no action to follow.
