City of Mount Carmel issued the following announcement on July 29
The Ella Elizabeth Hise Museum of Regional Art at Southeastern Illinois College is busy preparing for their next concurrent exhibits, the 3D Art show that will run in the museum’s main gallery and Coal Country that will be held in the west gallery.
These shows will run Oct. 3- Dec. 5. The museum Operations and Collections Committee is currently calling for artist submissions for both exhibits.
The deadline for entries is Aug. 27, with selections being made by Sept. 3.
Considerations for the 3D Art Exhibit will be open to all subject matters and mediums including, but not limited to metal works, wood working, sculptures, 3D drawings and paintings, etc.
Considerations for the Coal Country exhibit will be open to all mediums including, but not limited to paintings, photography, mining posters, etc.
With COVID 19 and social distancing restrictions, artists are encouraged to submit up to three entries at www.sic.edu/hisemuseum. Artists may find a printable form, information about selection process and FAQ’s on the web, as well.
Physical copies of the form must have an example of the works to be considered mailed or delivered to Ella Elizabeth Hise Museum of Regional Art, Southeastern Illinois College, 3575 College Rd, Harrisburg, IL, 62946. It can also be emailed to hisemuseum@sic.edu or faxed to 618-252-3062, Attn: 3D Art Exhibit or Coal Country Exhibit.
