The Board of Education of Allendale School District #17, Wabash County, Illinois, met in regular session. The meeting was held at the Allendale School, 101 N. Third Street, Allendale, IL. The meeting was called to order at 6:03 PM.
The following members were present: Ryan Andrews

Jon Micheal Deisher was absent. Also present was Superintendent Bob Bowser, Assistant Principal Cindy Brogan, Administrative Assistant Sarah Courter, and District Treasurer Debbie Hipsher.
APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA
Tia Morgan made the motion to approve the Consent Agenda as follows: Minutes of the Regular Meeting held Wednesday, July 21, 2021; Financial Reports – Treasurer’s Report, Activity Fund, Imprest Fund; Gross Payrolls, and Bills exclusive of Payroll. Upon said motion being seconded by Ryan Andrews, President Gary Buchanan put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:

Superintendent Bob Bowser gave updates on the following: Financial Update - August Expenditures: 1% Sales Tax $6,340.93 payable in October for June 2021, B/L Report - August -$1,861.00; Sports -Softball Regional rained out, Baseball won two in a row and lost Regionals, Cross Country Regional here at Allendale; Facility Update - New fence for pickleball count will possibly be in on the second or third week of October, Guisewite’s will take old fence down to the Christian Academy, waiting on bus barn doors still; Transportation - Waiting on new buses; Other - Waiting on the Covid Spit Testing kits, Covid testing opt-in letters went home with students this week.

2021-2022 BUDGET HEARING
Richard Gochenour moved to temporarily suspend the Allendale Community Consolidated School District #17 Board of Education meeting in order to conduct a Budget Hearing on the 2021-2022 School District Budget. Upon said motion being seconded by Beth Etzkorn, the President put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:

REVIEW OF SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD AREAS
Tia Morgan moved to approve the following Serious Safety Hazard Findings B-10-04-01; B-10-04-02; B-10-04-03; and B-10-04-04 and our official minutes reflect that the school district believes a serious safety hazard still exists. Upon said motion being seconded by Ryan Andrews, the voice vote was taken and the motion carried.
APPROVE 2021-2022 TEXTBOOK LIST
Richard Gochenour moved to approve the 2021-2022 textbook list as presented. Upon said motion being seconded by Beth Etzkorn, the President put the question and the voice vote was taken and the motion carried.
AUTHORIZE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION AS DESIGNEE OF
ANNUAL EMERGENCY AND CRISIS RESPONSE PLAN MEETING
Beth Etzkorn made the motion to authorize Superintendent Bowser as designee of the School Board for the Annual Emergency and Crisis Response Plan Meeting to be held in October here at Allendale School. Upon said motion being seconded by Tia Morgan, the voice vote was taken and the motion carried.
MEMBERSHIP TO THE SOUTHERN ILLINOIS JUNIOR HIGH
SCHOOLATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (SIJHSAA)
Richard Gochenour made the motion to join the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association and enter the following teams in regional and state competition in Volleyball, Boys and Girls Track, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Baseball, Softball, Boys and Girls Basketball, for calendar year 2022.
