Q1 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Edwards County?

There were three offenders living in Edwards County released on parole during the first quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows two men and one woman were released in Edwards County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 36. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2020, and the oldest was a 46-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Erika Bailey. She was convicted of a property crime in 2020 when she was 20 years old. She is now 21.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2021 in each Edwards County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
