Q2 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Hamilton County?

There were two offenders living in Hamilton County released on parole during the second quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows both of the released offenders in Hamilton County were men. The younger parolee was a 36-year-old man sentenced for a crime against one or more children in 2019. The other was a 59-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019.

The offender incarcerated the longest was James K. Huettemann. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2019 when he was 34 years old. He is now 36.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2021 in each Hamilton County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
