City of Harrisburg City Council met Oct. 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The Harrisburg City Council met at 8:00 a.m. in the Council Room of City Hall, Harrisburg, IL.

Mayor John McPeek called the special meeting to order. Mayor John McPeek presided over the meeting with Commissioners Raymond Gunning, Roger Angelly, Rupert Johnson and Ron Morse answering roll call.

Commissioner Raymond Gunning led the group in prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Roger Angelly made the motion to authorize Mayor McPeek and City Clerk to sign the Local 318 union contracts for Street/Alley, Public Property, Public Affairs, and Water/Sewer/Flood Control Departments and retroactive back to October 06, 2021. Seconded by Commissioner Rupert Johnson. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.

Commissioner Raymond Gunning made the motion to authorize Mayor McPeek to sign the contract between the City of Harrisburg and RCRA, Inc. dba Earth Services for the 124 S. Webster Demolition. Seconded by Commissioner Ron Morse. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.

Commissioner Ron Morse made the motion to go into Executive Session to discuss Personnel. Seconded by Commissioner Roger Angelly. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.

Adjourn: 8:03 a.m.

Reconvene: 8:32

Commissioner Roger Angelly made the motion to return to open session. Seconded by Commissioner Raymond Gunning. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.

Mayor John McPeek called the special meeting to order. Mayor John McPeek presided over the meeting with Commissioners Raymond Gunning, Roger Angelly, Rupert Johnson and Ron Morse answering roll call.

Mayor John McPeek stated no action was taken regarding personnel.

Commissioner Raymond Gunning made the motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Roger Angelly. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.

Adjourn: 8:33 a.m.
