Jasper Community Consolidated School District #17 Board of Education met Nov. 18.

A special meeting of the Jasper Board of Education convened for public input concerning a Waiver of ISBE Rules regarding Jasper Community Consolidated School District #17. The following members were present:
Present at the meeting: Derek Demaret, Lance Hinkle, Jeff Baker, Jon Lafikes & Josh Zurliene
Absent at the meeting: Beth Titzer & Andrew Weaver
No public input was given concerning a Waiver of ISBE Rules-renewal of waiver allowing children of full time employees who do not reside in the district to attend Jasper CCSD #17 without the requirement to pay tuition.
A motion was made by Lance Hinkle and seconded by Josh Zurliene to adjourn the special meeting and proceed to the regular meeting. The votes were as follows:

Andrew Weaver-absent Jeff Baker –yes

The regular meeting of the Jasper School Board of Education was called to order by Board President Derek Demaret and Jon Lafikes taking the minutes, on November 18, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. with following board members present:
Board Members Present: Derek Demaret, Lance Hinkle, Jeff Baker, Jon Lafikes & Josh Zurliene
Board Members Absent: Beth Titzer & Andrew Weaver
The consent agenda, which includes minutes of previous regular board meeting, executive session and destruction of closed session minutes were then approved on a motion by Jeff Baker and seconded by Lance Hinkle. The votes were as follows:
Derek Demaret – yes Josh Zurliene – yes
Lance Hinkle –yes Jon Lafikes – yes
Andrew Weaver-absent Jeff Baker –yes
Beth Titzer – absent
A motion was made by Jon Lafikes and seconded by Lance Hinkle to approve the bills and payroll for November 2021 as presented. The votes were as follows:

Lance Hinkle –yes Jon Lafikes – yes
Andrew Weaver-absent Jeff Baker –yes
Beth Titzer – absent
A motion was made by Lance Hinkle and seconded by Jon Lafikes to approve a waiver of ISBE rules that will allow the children of full time employees to attend Jasper Grade School tuition free. The votes were as follows:

Lance Hinkle –yes Jon Lafikes – yes
Andrew Weaver-absent Jeff Baker –yes
Beth Titzer – absent
No motion was made to approve the facility rental rates.
A motion was made by Jeff Baker and seconded by Lance Hinkle to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. The votes were as follows:
