Report: Hamilton County School District spent $9,190 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Hamilton County Community Unit School District 10 was up 3.5 percent from five years ago, according to the SE Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Hamilton County school district spent $8,876 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,190 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,250 to 1,146 students over the same period.

Hamilton County's spending in 2019-20 was 36.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
