State Sen. Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) is reminding constituents that they can order free COVID-19 tests.

"You can now order COVID-19 tests to be delivered to your house for free through this website: https://special.usps.com/testkits," the senator posted on Facebook. "Limit of one order per residential address. One order includes 4 individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests. Orders will ship free starting in late January."

Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order four at-home COVID-19 tests, according to the federal government website.

"The tests are completely free," the website said. " Orders will usually ship in 7-12 days."

The number of tests per household is limited regardless of occupants “to promote broad access," 5Chicago reported.

The federal government has purchased more than 420 million tests, with plans to increase that to one billion in the next few weeks, the station reported.

The test is certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as capable of detecting the omicron variant of COVID-19, the story said.

The test will come with detailed instructions.
