The Harrisburg City Council met at 8:00 a.m. in the Council Room of City Hall, Harrisburg, IL.
Mayor John McPeek called the meeting to order. Mayor John McPeek presided over the meeting with Commissioners Raymond Gunning, Roger Angelly, Rupert Johnson and Ron Morse answering roll call.
Commissioner Raymond Gunning led the group in prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Raymond Gunning had a discussion with Council regarding the position of animal control.
Commissioner Raymond Gunning made the motion to enter into an independent contractor agreement with Elizabeth May hall as the Animal Control Officer at the rate of $20,000 annually, a $200.00 monthly auto/gas stipend and with the requirement to maintain liability insurance. She will begin work as soon as she provides the City of Harrisburg with proof of insurance. Seconded by Commissioner Roger Angelly. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.
Commissioner Ron Morse made the motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Roger Angelly. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.
