“I am excited to be able to serve this community as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I chose this path a few years ago with the community, my patients, and my family in mind. I look forward to being able to serve the people of this community as a medical provider for people of all ages. My experience as a nurse that has worked in a number of departments, but with a focus in diabetes should continue providing a benefit to my patients. While I will certainly be working with people that have a wide range of medical concerns, diabetes is an area that I have focused in for over 9 years and it is an area that I feel comfortable guiding people with any diabetes related issue. I do urge all people in our community to realize the importance of proactive medical care, wellness exams or health fair labs to be preventative in their medical care rather than reactive.” commented Stephen Welty, APN FNP, CDE.
“As our services continue to grow, it is important that we continue to recruit the best providers possible to meet the needs of our patient population. Since joining the staff of Fairfield Memorial Hospital, Stephen has been a wonderful asset with his knowledge and care of patients. He continued his education while working full-time as a Diabetes Educator so he could further enhance what he is able to provide for our patients. We are so thankful to have NP Welty and his knowledge and the experience he brings to our team of outstanding healthcare providers.” stated Katherine Bunting-Williams, FMH Chief Executive Officer.
