Village of Smithton Committee as a Whole met Jan. 12.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
Mayor Smallwood called the meeting to order at 8:35pm at Village Hall. Trustees Becherer, Rogers, Elbe, Henning, Mourey and Hopkins were in attendance.
WILLOW OAK PROPERTY
Mayor Smallwood reported that the property owner is ready to move forward with annexation. The board agreed to have Attorney Durso start the annexation process.
PERMIT / LICENSE FEES
Mayor Smallwood reported that the board was provided with a spreadsheet to compare other municipality prices. Discussion was had and a motion will be made at the next board meeting.
VIDEO GAMING TERMINAL FEES
Mayor Smallwood reported that the state has changed the terminal gaming fees to start at $25 and max out at $250. Discussion was had and a motion will be made at the next board meeting.
Trustee Rogers made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Elbe to adjourn. All were in favor. Motion was granted. Meeting adjourned at 9:08pm.
