Jasper Community Consolidated School District #17 Board of Education met May 19.

The regular meeting of the Jasper School Board of Education was called to order by Board President Derek Demaret and Jon Lafikes taking the minutes at 6:00 p.m. with following board members present:

Board Members Present: Derek Demaret, Lance Hinkle, Andrew Weaver (6:13), Jon Lafikes, Jeff Baker, and Josh Zurliene (6:08)

Board Members Absent: Elizabeth Titzer

The consent agenda, which includes minutes of previous regular board meeting, executive session and destruction of closed session minutes were then approved on a motion Josh Zurliene and seconded by Andrew Weaver. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Lance Hinkle and seconded by Jon Lafikes to approve the bills and payroll for May 2022 as presented. The votes were as follows:

Andrew Weaver –yes        Jeff Baker –yes

A motion was made by Jeff Baker and seconded by Lance Hinkle to approve the permanent transfer of $16,443.80 from the Education Fund to the Bond and Interest Fund. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Josh Zurliene and seconded by Lance Hinkle to employ Leymone Hardcastle to perform the FY22 audit for the Jasper CCSD #17 School District. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Josh Zurliene and seconded by Andrew Weaver to approve an increase of $0.10 in both breakfast and lunch prices for FY23. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Lance Hinkle and seconded by Jeff Baker to approve the Tentative Amended budget as presented for the FY22 school year. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Jeff Baker and seconded by Jon Lafikes to employ Ashli Legg as the Kindergarten teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The votes were as follows:
