SEL (Social, Emotional, Learning)/Trauma: The SEL/Trauma action plan is complete and ready to be implemented. We will use one of the 2:00 dismissal days in August to present the plan to the grade school teachers The action plan will begin in September. The SEL action plan for the grade school this year will double as their PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies) plan, since the two are set up similarly. The middle and high school SEL plan will begin in the 2023/2024 school year.

PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies): Emails have been sent to the staff at the middle and high school to ask them to give their opinions on a way to streamline discipline reporting. In order to effectively implement PBIS, we will need a consistent way to track discipline. The easiest way will be to use the Teacher Ease discipline reporting for major infractions. This would not be necessary for things handled in the classroom. TeacherEase has been contacted about using the discipline tracking system and about how much of the report parents can see logging in. We are waiting on a reply from them. Once we have a way to track discipline, we can implement a rewards system for positive behaviors. We will do a reward at the end of each 9 weeks for students who have met the requirement.
