Illinois State Rep. Dave Severin recently attended the Grace Haven Pregnancy Clinic Fundraising Dinner.
"Thank you to the Grace Haven Pregnancy Clinic for a wonderful fundraising dinner tonight. A worthy cause saw great support from the Jefferson County community for life!" Severin wrote in an Oct. 21 Facebook post.
SE Illinois previously reported that Severin has also visited other communities over the past few weeks.
"A couple of great events to share!" Severin said in a Facebook post. "I was happy to join Uptown Steakhouse in Benton for their grand opening and ribbon cutting event and also enjoyed spending time with the good folks of Christopher for their KC Hall Fish Fry and Zeigler for their Masonic Lodge Fish Fry. Thank you for the hospitality and best wishes!"
In September, he spoke about issues with the SAFE-T Act.
"If we want to ensure every neighborhood across Illinois is a safe place to live then we cannot ignore warnings from law enforcement officials and public safety experts," Severin stated, as previously reported by SE Illinois.
Dave Severin was first elected to the Illinois House in 2017. A Republican, their legislative experience includes serving on the Judiciary - Criminal and Mental Health & Addiction. Severin is a state representative who resides in Benton, according to the Illinois House.
