The Board of Education of Allendale School District #17, Wabash County, Illinois, met in regular session. The meeting was held at the Allendale School, 101 N. Third Street, Allendale, IL. The meeting was called to order at 6:08 PM.

Absent was Jon Michael Deisher, Tia Morgan, and Treasurer Debbie Hipsher. Also, present was Superintendent Bob Bowser, Assistant Principal Cindy Brogan, and Administrative Asst. Sarah Courter.
APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA
Richard Gochenour made the motion to approve the Consent Agenda as follows: Minutes of the Regular Meeting held Wednesday, September 21, 2022; Minutes of the Closed Session Meeting held Wednesday, September 21, 2022; Financial Reports – Treasurer’s Report, Activity Fund, Imprest Fund; Gross Payrolls, and Bills exclusive of Payroll. Upon said motion being seconded by Ryan Andrews, Vice-President Beth Etzkorn put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:

ADMINISTRATION –
Superintendent Bob Bowser gave updates on the following: Financial Update - 1% Sales Tax $9,187.00 payable in November for July 2022; Expenditures for the month: Education 161,268, Building 7,355, Transportation 46,954 with a 3 Fund Total of 215,578; Sports - Girls Basketball - two girls from Allendale School and not enough total for an A Team, Nora Meeks (5th Grade) from SMS went to State for Cross Country, ACA will be using our gym for practices - will need insurance certificate on file prior to using gym; Facility Update - No School on Friday due to Parent-Teacher Conferences, Cafeteria and Concession Stand Floor will be refinished on the 3-day weekend; waiting on five unit ventilators to be installed in classrooms; waiting on two electrical boxes to be installed in the boiler room; waiting on Tracy Electric to get back with us on the Pickleball lights; Transportation - None; Other - Grade Cards went home for first quarter; just finished up parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday and Thursday nights; will start doing only third through eighth grade honor roll.
Assistant Principal Cindy Brogan gave updates on Special Education and Title I departments on how push-in and small group help/instruction is working on closing the learning-loss gap, increasing fluency, and big improvements in the ELA and Math areas. She also spoke about how the teachers and herself are working on improving writing skills, and how it must start at the kindergarten level. After-school tutoring is full and has a waiting list. We are adding an additional teacher for a third section of tutoring due to so many students.

APPROVE ADMINISTRATOR AND TEACHER SALARY AND BENEFITS 2022-2023 Richard Gochenour made the motion to approve the Administrator and Teacher Salary and Benefits 2022-2023 as presented. Upon said motion being seconded by Ryan Andrews, the voice vote was taken and the motion carried.
ABATE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUNDS TO DEBT SERVICE FUND
Richard Gochenour moved to abate $10,000 from the Capital Projects Fund to the Debt Service Fund. Upon said motion being seconded by Ryan Andrews, the Vice-President put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:
