I. CALL TO ORDER

A regular meeting was called to order at 6:00p.m. by Stephanie Hatcher.

III. COMMUNICATIONS

A. Recognition of Visitors / Public Comments: Nick Gracyalny from Kemper CPA reviewed the District Annual Financial Report with the board with the recommendation to submit a Statement of Economic Interest with White County.

Travis Thompson spoke on Bison Pride. He shared some ideas of selling Bison gear such as Bison T-Shirts and letting patrons enter the game for a discounted price if they are wearing Bison Pride attire. He also said the High School Basketball team will have warm-ups this year.

Ross/AGE presented the board with 6 proposals with Keystone Power Holdings, LLC offering the best proposal for 25 years-0% yearly escalator $.02/kWh plus $1300/acre/year/per year of agreement for every fenced acre or portion thereof. The board will make a decision of moving forward with the project at the December board meeting.

Mr. Johnson: JHBK is now 6-1 in the season, High School Scholar Bowl is 4-3, and HSBK starts their season next week. Mrs. Mosberger’s physics students will be competing at Marshall’s Design and Engineering tomorrow. The FFA will be having a Mason Jar Fundraiser for the IL FFA Foundation. Fall break will be Nov 23-27. Christmas Concerts are tentatively set for December 7 for JH/HS and December 14 for K-5. More information to come about the concerts soon. Andy Brock with The Friends of Grayville donated $300 to the Athletic Programs and $50 for the elementary teacher’s treasure boxes. Pam House has donated Christmas decorations and merchandise for the Christmas Shop that will take place in December. Kylee Rosevelt will be at the next board meeting to discuss the CEO program.

Mr. Fetcho: Softball lights have been delivered. Wayne White Electric is ordering 6 poles and will be delivered within 9 to 11 weeks. The goal is to have the lights placed before the Spring softball season. The district is on a waiting list for the electric school buses. This Friday, Barry Steed will look at the sound system. The High School sound system is showing its age of 20+ years old and will need to be upgraded in the future. Mr. Steed is preparing a list of items we will need to replace the system. The bleachers are now hinged for easier cleaning.

Mrs. Harrelson: The IAR and SAT scores were reviewed with the board and in relation to surrounding districts. Board petitions need to be submitted December 12-19. The building inspections went well. The Property Tax Relief Grant was submitted. The district was granted the Digital Equity Grant for $7200. The grant will be used to continue replacing the old smartboards with interactive tvs. Homecoming is December 9 with the Mike Garbo dedication. Christmas Break is December 19-January 2 with a Teachers Institute on January 2nd.

3. Motion to Approve Aggregate Tax Levy

Motion by Risley, second by Hall to Approve the Aggregate Tax Levy of 4.99% without a Truth in Taxation Meeting.

Motion by Risley, second by Hall to Hire Ron Patton as High School Assistant Basketball Coach as presented.

5. Motion to Invest in Certificates of Deposit

Motion by Browning, second by Hall to Invest in Certificates of Deposit of 3.76% for 12 months with no penalty if withdrawn early with Fairfield National Bank.
