Jasper Community Consolidated School District Board of Education met Jan. 19.

The regular meeting of the Jasper School Board of Education was called to order by Board President Derek Demaret and Beth Titzer taking the minutes, on January 19, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. with following board members present:

Board Members Present: Derek Demaret, Beth Titzer, Jon Lafikes, Josh Zurliene & Caitlin Glisson

Board Members Absent: Andrew Weaver & Lance Hinkle

The consent agenda, which includes minutes of previous regular board meeting, executive session and destruction of closed session minutes, treasurer’s report, approval of monthly bills and payroll and resignation acceptance of school secretary, Kayla Cessna were then approved on a motion by Beth Titzer and seconded by Josh Zurliene. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Jon Lafikes and seconded by Caitlin Glisson to approve the FY22 audit. The votes were as follows:

Andrew Weaver –absent     Caitlin Glisson-yes

Beth Titzer – yes

A motion was made by Josh Zurliene and seconded by Jon Lafikes to approve Ryan Best as volunteer boys’ Pee Wee Basketball Coach. The votes were as follows:

Andrew Weaver –absent     Caitlin Glisson-yes

A motion was made by Beth Titzer and seconded by Caitlin Glisson to approve Courtney Atwood as volunteer girls’ Volleyball Coach The votes were as follows:

Beth Titzer – yes

A motion was made by Beth Titzer and seconded by Josh Zurliene to accept cash donations of $500 from Nick Courtright, $50 from Judy Hout and $3714.29 from White Tail Deer Properties. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Jon Lafikes and seconded by Caitlin Glisson to increase FY23 mileage reimbursement to 65.5 cents/mile effective 1/1/23 per IRS mileage guidelines. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Josh Zurliene and seconded by Beth Titzer to approve Press Policies/Updates as listed in IASB Press Issue 110, October 2022. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Jon Lafikes and seconded by Caitlin Glisson adjourn the meeting at 8:04 p.m. The votes were as follows:
