2022 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Gallatin County?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during 2022 that live in Gallatin County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows nine men and two women were released in Gallatin County. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2020, and the oldest was a 61-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2021.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Kory J. Kuizenga. He was convicted of homicide in 2018 when he was 33 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in 2022 in each Gallatin County.
