The special called meeting of the Board of Education of the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Community Unit School District #3 of White, Hamilton and Gallatin Counties, Illinois, was called to order by Joe Lane at 6:00 p.m. in the Superintendent's office on Monday, April 3, 2023. All members had been previously notified and those answering roll call were: Frank Graves, Mike Hite, Joe Lane, and Paul Black. Lincoln Hobbs, Matt McArthy, and Heath Rush were absent. Also attending was Matt Vollman.
The meeting was called for personnel.
There were no public comments.
Joe Lane made the motion to enter executive session at 6:01 pm. Mike Hite seconded. The Board returned to regular session at 6:04 pm.
Joe Lane made the motion to accept the resignation of Aaron Reeves as High School Biology Teacher. Paul Black seconded. A unanimous vote followed. Motion Carried.
Joe Lane made the motion to hire Samantha Pepmeier as High School Biology Teacher. Frank Graves seconded. Roll Call Vote: Frank Graves, Aye; Mike Hite, Aye; Joe Lane, Aye; and Paul Black, Aye. Motion Carried.
The meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m. on a motion by Joe Lane and second by Frank Graves. A unanimous vote followed.
