A public hearing of the Jasper Board of Education convened on September 22, 2022 at 5:45 for the review of the fiscal year 2023 amended budget for the Jasper Community Consolidated School District #17. The following members were present:
Present at the hearing: Derek Demaret, Beth Titzer, Justin Atwood, Jon Lafikes & Josh Zurliene
Absent at the hearing: Caitlin Glisson
No one addressed the Board concerning the FY23 Amended Budget as presented.
A motion was made by Josh Zurliene and seconded by Jon lafikes to approve adjourning the meeting at 5:55 pm and proceed to the regular meeting. The votes were as follows:

The regular meeting of the Jasper School Board of Education was called to order by Board President Derek Demaret and Beth Titzer taking the minutes, on June 22, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. with following board members present:
Board Members Present: Derek Demaret, Beth Titzer, Justin Atwood, Jon Lafikes & Josh Zurliene
Board Members Absent: Caitlin Glisson
The consent agenda, which includes minutes of previous regular board meeting, executive session and destruction of closed session minutes, treasurer’s report, approval of monthly bills and payroll, were then approved on a motion by Beth Titzer and seconded by Jon Lafikes. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Justin Atwood and seconded by Josh Zurliene to approve FY23 amended budget. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Beth Titzer and seconded by Jon Lafikes to set school registration fee at $40 for FY24. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Josh Zurliene and Justin Atwood to set cafeteria prices for FY24 as follows: Breakfast $2.70; lunch $3.20; Employee $3.60; Milk $.40. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Justin Atwood and seconded by Jon Lafikes to approve the letter of engagement from Dennis Rose and Associates, PC for the FY23 annual audit for a fee not to exceed $14,250. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Josh Zurliene and seconded by Jon Lafikes to award commercial insurance bid to Dimond Bros. Insurance, Blank’s Insurance Agency and Ramza Insurance Group for policies as proposed including ICRMT for the Package, Employers for the Worker’s Compensation, CFC Lloyds for the Cyber Liability, RLI Surety for the Treasurer’s Bond, Gerber Life for the Blanket Student Accident, and Guarantee Trust Life the Catastrophic Student Accident Policy for a total cost of $33,745.02. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Jon Lafikes and seconded by Beth Titzer to employ Maddie Johnson as summer custodial worker at a rate of $13/hour pending background check. The votes were as follows:
