The Board of Education of Allendale School District #17, Wabash County, Illinois, met in regular session on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. The meeting was held at the Allendale School, 101 N. Third Street, Allendale, IL. The meeting was called to order at 6:01 PM.
The following members were present:

Also, present was Assistant Principal Cindy Brogan, Administrative Assistant Sarah Courter, District Treasurer Debbie Hipsher, and Citizen Laura Leathers. Absent was Ryan Andrews, Miles Marcotte, and Bob Bowser.
APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA
Richard Gochenour made the motion to approve the Consent Agenda as follows: Minutes of the Regular Meeting held Wednesday, June 22, 2023; Financial Reports – Treasurer’s Report, Activity Fund, Imprest Fund; Gross Payrolls, and Bills exclusive of Payroll. Upon said motion being seconded by Beth Etzkorn, President Gary Buchanan put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:

Assistant Principal Cindy Brogan gave updates on the following: Financial Update - 1% Sales Tax $6,784.16 payable in July for March 2023; Expenditures for the month; Sports - Boys Basketball has open gyms, Cheer practice is continuing, Cheer Dinner/Dessert Auction is August 12; Facility Update -Carpets cleaned, bleachers inspected, Ron/JD waxing floors; Transportation - None; Other - Used Title money to pay for school supplies and textbooks; Special Education/1st/2nd/3rd grades will be having Intervention Reading (ESSER 3); Online Registration will open July 20.

Richard Gochenour moved to approve Prairie Farms as the milk product supplier for 2023-2024. Upon said motion being seconded by Beth Etzkorn, the President put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:

APPROVAL TO DISCARD OBSOLETE/EXCESS EQUIPMENT
Tia Morgan moved to approve declaring the 55 chromebooks as obsolete/excess equipment. Upon said motion being seconded by Richard Gochenour, the voice vote was taken and the motion carried.
ABATE WORKING CASH FUNDS TO TORT FUND
Beth Etzkorn moved to approve abating $25,000 from the Working Cash Fund to the Tort Fund. Upon said motion being seconded by Richard Gochenour, the President put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:
