Old Business

Request for Coal Mine Road Payment: Supervisor Gray said the payment, requested last month from SCF Marine, to maintain the required balance in the Coal Mine Road Fund, has been received and deposited. The balance in the account is now $100,000.00.

Cemetery Update: Eva Lynn Gray stated the work needed to update the records for bothTenMile and Hopewell cemeteries is complete and she is in the process of confirming the information on the website is accurate. She also said she has found sturdy material that canbeused to produce new maps in those instances where it is necessary to do so. Once again, thisisgoing to be a lengthy process. However, significant progress is being made.

New Business:

Truth in Taxation: It was noted that the Township has not held a Truth in Taxation hearingsince 2007 and, since that time, funds available to properly conduct Township business, primarily the maintenance of Township roads, have slowly declined to the point where additional funds are needed. In order to accomplish this, it would be necessary to request aTruth in Taxation hearing as the funds needed will be more than 5% above the last extendedlevy. The last extended levy submitted amounted to $433,672.78. Supervisor Gray is recommending a request be made to increase the current levy to $544,721.53, an increaseof 27.91%. By Statute, in order to request that amount a Truth in Taxation hearing is needed. After discussion, a motion to hold that hearing was made by Clydus Gray and secondedbyBecky Cross. Motion carried.
