City of Carmi City Council met Jan. 16.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

1. Call to order by Mayor Pollard, Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Roll Call.

3. Approve January 2, 2024, Council Meeting Minutes

4. Approve December 2023 Financial Reports for the City of Carmi and Light & Water Departments.

5. Approve and authorize January 2024 vendor invoices for the City of Carmi and Light & Water Departments.

6. For council consideration, discussion and possible approval:

a) Resolution 01.16.24; A Resolution of support for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Sycamore Street Water Project.

b) Contractor’s Pay Request: Kieffer Bros. Construction Co. Inc. for Water System Improvement 2020 in the amount of $64,408.10 (Paid from IEPA Loan).

c) Brown and Roberts, Inc. Pay Request Job 2023-156 Hillsdale Area Row for $5,632.47 (Paid from IEPA loan).

d) Brown and Roberts, Inc. Pay Request Job 2023-073 DCEO PI Portion Water System Improvements C&O for $2,081.60 (Paid from DCEO Grant).

e) Brown and Roberts, Inc. Pay Request Job 2023-074 IEPA Portion Water System Improvements C&O for $6,396.72 (Paid from IEPA loan).

f) Resolution 01.17.24; A resolution that authorizes Crescent Health Solutions to be the Third-Party Administrator for the healthcare plans effective 02.01.2024.

g) Jeremy Billington, Crescent Health Solutions to do the presentation and approval of Stop-Loss Insurance Renewal Proposals for 02-01-2024 to 01-31-2025.

7. Reports and/or updates from Mayor Pollard

8. Reports from Standing Committees.

9. Business or comments from visitors.

10. Closed Session to discuss litigation with no action to follow.
